Topstep Alternatives 2026: 7 Futures Prop Firms With No Monthly Fee, Faster Payouts or Looser Rules

PickMyFuturesProp · 2026-09-26

Looking for a Topstep alternative? Seven futures prop firms that fix Topstep's biggest pain points — the monthly bill, the $149 activation fee, the 55% rule and 5-winning-day payouts — compared with verified 2026 data.

Topstep is where most futures traders start. It has been running for 15 years and says it has paid out more than $1.4 billion. But it's also the firm traders most often go looking to replace, and the reasons are in its own rulebook:

Each alternative below fixes at least one of these. All prices are for the 50K with the best verified code, and every firm has a side-by-side page against Topstep where one exists.

1. Tradeify — one-time fee, one-day pass, EOD drawdown everywhere

Tradeify Growth is $87 once with code BREEZY. Topstep Standard costs $198 if you pass in your first month ($49 + $149), and more every month you don't. Growth has no evaluation consistency rule, so one good day passes it, and like every Tradeify plan it runs end-of-day trailing drawdown in both phases, with $0 activation and a 90/10 split. It runs on Tradovate, Rithmic, WealthCharts and TradeSea.

The catch: a $1,250 daily loss limit on the 50K, a 35% consistency rule once funded, and payouts every 5 days. Tradeify vs Topstep

2. My Funded Futures — daily payouts instead of 5 winning days

MFFU Rapid EOD is $125 once with code Pick: end-of-day drawdown in both phases, no daily loss limit, 90/10, $0 activation, and daily payouts once you're above the buffer ($500 minimum). If you just want the cheapest door, Builder is $92 with a one-day pass. MFFU supports NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Quantower and TradingView.

The catch: Rapid EOD comes in 25K and 50K only, with a 4-day minimum and a 30% evaluation consistency rule. MFFU vs Topstep

3. FundedNext Futures — no consistency rule at any stage

If Topstep's 55% rule is the problem, FundedNext Rapid Daily removes consistency altogether: no rule in the challenge and none once funded. It's $159.99 once, passes in 1 day, uses end-of-day drawdown, and pays rewards daily from eligibility with no benchmark days at a 90% share. Code REFGNRBSE at checkout.

The catch: a soft $1,000 daily loss limit. Rapid Pro removes it for the same price, but pays every 3 days with a 40% funded consistency rule. FundedNext vs Topstep

4. TradeDay — stays monthly, drops the activation fee

If you like paying monthly, TradeDay Quick Pay is $59 a month with code PICK and has no activation fee. It has a 30% evaluation consistency rule and a 5-day minimum. Once funded, you can request a payout after just 1 day with a $250 minimum, and no buffer milestone.

The catch: TradeDay's split is 50/50 until an account passes $4,000 in net profit, then 80/20. That's worse than Topstep's 90/10 on small accounts, so it suits traders who plan to build a balance. TradeDay vs Topstep

5. Futures Elite — 90% split and EOD drawdown for a one-time $107

Futures Elite Elite is $107.13 once with code Pick: end-of-day drawdown, a 90% split, no activation fee and no daily loss limit. For the price of about two months of Topstep Standard, you own the evaluation outright.

The catch: a 50% evaluation consistency rule (tighter than Topstep's 55%), payouts every 7 days, and a $2,000 cap per payout on the 50K. Futures Elite vs Topstep

6. FTMO Futures — if brand trust is why you picked Topstep

FTMO has run since 2014 and is one of the biggest names in prop trading. Its futures Growth plan is $119 a month with an end-of-day loss limit that locks at your starting balance, just like Topstep's, but with a 40% consistency rule instead of 55%, no daily loss limit and no activation fee. Funded payouts open after 4 qualifying days of $150 or more, capped at $2,500 per request.

The catch: FTMO Futures is in beta (launched September 2026), so rules may still change, and there's no discount code. FTMO Futures review

7. OneUp Trader — on-demand payouts with no cap

OneUp is $75 a month with no activation fee, and its funded payouts are on-demand, same day (Monday to Friday), with no cap. You keep 100% of your first $10,000, then 90/10. There's no daily loss limit.

The catch: real-time intraday trailing drawdown, a 10-day evaluation minimum and a $1,000 payout minimum. OneUp vs Topstep

When Topstep is still the right call

Topstep still makes sense if you want the longest track record in the business, you like trading on TopstepX, or you're playing the long game toward its Live Funded Account, where payouts are uncapped and daily after 30 winning days. Its single end-of-day loss limit that locks at your starting balance is also one of the simplest rulebooks around.
