The5ers Futures Review 2026: $59 Evaluations, Refunded Fees and Percentage-Based Rules
PickMyFuturesProp · 2026-09-24
The5ers brought a decade-old forex reputation and 38,000 Trustpilot reviews to futures in 2026. Evaluations start at $59 and are refunded on your third payout — here's the percentage-based rulebook and the payout gate you need to understand.
The5ers is one of the most established names in prop trading — a London firm founded in 2016 with a 4.7 Trustpilot score on more than 38,000 reviews — and in 2026 it finally added futures. It arrived with the cheapest one-time evaluations on our board and a rulebook written in percentages rather than dollars, which makes it refreshingly easy to reason about. It also arrived with an 80/20 split and a slower payout gate than the daily-payout crowd. Here's the full picture.
Two programs, one rulebook
- Day Trade — 25K $59, 50K $100, 100K $170, 150K $199. Everything must be flat 10 minutes before the close.
- Swing — $69 / $120 / $189 / $219, about 10% more, and you can hold a reduced position overnight (The5ers' overnight FAQ says 1 mini or 10 micros). No weekend holding on either.
The rules are identical and scale with account size:
- 6% profit target to pass ($1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000), then a 4% target before each funded payout.
- 4% end-of-day trailing drawdown measured from your highest midnight balance ($1,000 / $2,000 / $4,000 / $6,000).
- 2.5% daily loss limit on the 100K and 150K accounts only.
- 40% consistency rule per trade in both phases — no single trade can be more than 40% of total profit. Not a breach; you keep trading until the ratio works.
- Contract limits of 2 / 4 / 8 / 12 minis, no activation fee, and no minimum days — you can pass in one day.
The refund and the scaling plan
Two features stand out. First, your evaluation fee is refunded in full on your third payout — so a trader who actually gets paid three times ends up with a free evaluation. Second, the scaling plan: every time you hit a 10% profit milestone your balance grows 5% and your contract limit rises by one mini, all the way to $500K.
Payouts: where the caution lives
This is the section to read twice. The split is 80/20, which trails the 90/10 that most futures firms now offer. To request a payout your funded account must be at least 14 days old and up 4% from its initial balance, and each request is capped at 3% of your balance ($1,250 flat on 25K). After a withdrawal the drawdown resets to 4% below your new balance, so each payout gives you a fresh buffer. Payment timing beyond that gate isn't spelled out on the futures FAQ, so treat this as a firm for steady compounding rather than weekly cash-outs.
Platform and other rules
Trading is on BlackArrow (no Tradovate or NinjaTrader), news trading is allowed, arbitrage and sub-second scalping are prohibited, and you can run up to five futures accounts at once.
So who's it for?
- Traders who want the lowest-risk entry — $59 to $199 one-time, refundable, with EOD drawdown.
- Consistent, low-variance traders who won't be bothered by the 40% per-trade rule.
- Swing traders who need overnight holding at a sane price.
Who should look elsewhere: traders who want a 90/10 split, fast payouts on demand, or NinjaTrader. Line The5ers up against Bulenox and Tradeify in the comparison tool — at the 50K size the price gap is real, and so is the split gap.
