FTMO Futures Review 2026: Growth vs Pro, Rules, Prices and the Beta Caveat
PickMyFuturesProp · 2026-09-24
The biggest forex prop firm in the world finally does futures. FTMO Futures runs two monthly plans on EOD trailing drawdown with 90/10 and no activation fee — here's what's verified, what's beta, and which plan fits you.
FTMO is the firm every other prop firm gets measured against in forex — founded in 2014, based in Prague, and big enough to have acquired OANDA in 2025. For years it ignored futures entirely. That changed in September 2026 when FTMO Futures launched in beta, and the question for futures traders is simple: does the biggest name in the industry bring anything new, or is this just a well-funded me-too?
The short answer: the rules are conservative and unusually well documented, the pricing is mid-pack, and the word beta is doing real work in that sentence. Here's the breakdown.
What both plans share
FTMO Futures sells two monthly-subscription evaluations, Growth and Pro, and the bones are the same:
- End-of-day trailing drawdown that stops trailing once it reaches your starting balance — the forgiving model, calculated off closed balances rather than your live peak.
- Targets of $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000 on 50K / 100K / 150K.
- 5 / 10 / 15 contracts during the evaluation; funded accounts start at 2 / 4 / 6 and scale back up to the full limit as end-of-day profit grows.
- 90/10 profit split, no activation fee, and about 30 CME Group products.
- Once funded there is no profit target and no consistency rule — the rules that remain are the drawdown, the contract limit and (on Pro) the daily loss limit.
Growth: the no-daily-loss-limit plan
Growth is $119 / $169 / $229 a month. Drawdown is $2,000 / $3,500 / $5,000, there is no daily loss limit, and the evaluation carries a 40% consistency rule — your best day cannot be more than 40% of total profit when you pass (it is not a breach; you simply keep trading until the ratio works).
Funded payouts open after 4 qualifying days of at least $150 / $250 / $300 closed profit, and each request is capped at $2,500 / $3,000 / $4,000. Resets are $109 / $159 / $219.
Pro: more room, one hard rule
Pro is $139 / $199 / $269 a month — $20 to $40 more — and it buys you three things: a wider drawdown of $3,000 / $4,500 / $6,000, a looser 50% consistency rule, and bigger payout caps of $5,000 / $6,000 / $8,000 per request.
The price of that room is a hard daily loss limit of $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,000 that applies in both phases. Hit it during the evaluation and the evaluation fails; hit it on the funded account and the account is terminated. Pro also asks for 5 qualifying days of $200 / $300 / $500 before each payout instead of four. Resets are $129 / $189 / $259.
My read: Growth suits traders who occasionally have a rough session and want the drawdown to be the only line that matters. Pro suits disciplined traders who size small, rarely give back more than 2% in a day, and want the larger caps once they are funded.
The payout math you need to know
This is where FTMO Futures is stricter than the daily-payout crowd. On either plan you can only withdraw 50% of your profit above the starting balance per request, at least half of the request must be new profit from the current cycle, and the per-request caps above apply. The minimum is a token $20, and you receive 90% of whatever you request. Expect to leave a buffer in the account rather than sweeping it every week.
The beta problem
FTMO has a long track record of paying traders in forex, so counterparty risk here is as low as it gets in this industry. But a beta product is a beta product: rules, limits and pricing can all shift while FTMO calibrates the offering. If you buy now, screenshot the rules page the day you sign up and re-read it before every payout request. We re-verify this data on our regular audit cadence.
There's also the subscription model to think about. $119 a month is cheap for month one, but every extra month you spend not passing is another $119 — and with a $3,000 target against a $2,000 drawdown on Growth, this is not an evaluation to sprint through.
So who's it for?
- Traders who already trust FTMO from forex and want the same house on the futures side.
- Rule-conscious traders who value an EOD drawdown that locks at breakeven over a rock-bottom price.
- Anyone who prefers a monthly subscription to a big one-time evaluation fee.
Who should wait: bargain hunters (no discount code exists yet, and plenty of rivals run 40 to 90% promos), traders who want 25K or 250K+ sizes, anyone who needs to pull most of their profit out every week, and anyone who doesn't want to trade under rules that may still change. FTMO Futures trading hours and news rules
No positions or resting orders past the end of the trading day (auto-liquidated); no news window, but clustering trades around scheduled releases is flagged as a risk-management issue.
