My Funded Futures vs Take Profit Trader 2026: Which Wins?
PickMyFuturesProp · 2026-06-08
Two solid one-step firms, two very different philosophies. MFFU gives you four plans and a fast 90/10 path; Take Profit Trader runs one escalating account. I've traded both — here's the honest head-to-head and who each suits.
Take Profit Trader and My Funded Futures are both legit, both popular, and both worth your money under the right circumstances. But they take almost opposite approaches — TPT gives you one account that escalates as you prove yourself, while MFFU hands you four distinct plans and lets you pick. I've traded both, so here's the head-to-head I'd give a friend trying to decide.
Philosophy: four plans vs one path
This is the core difference. MFFU gives you four genuinely different plans — Rapid (daily payouts, 90/10), Pro (no payout cap, EOD), Builder (48-hour payouts), and Flex (cheapest entry). You choose the one that fits how you trade.
Take Profit Trader runs a single escalating path: Test → PRO → PRO+. You start on one account and climb tiers as you hit milestones, with the split and drawdown improving as you advance.
If you like picking the tool that matches your style up front, MFFU's variety wins. If you prefer one clear ladder to climb, TPT's simplicity has its own appeal. For most traders, the optionality is the advantage — and it's a point for MFFU.
Speed to funded
Here's where the gap is real. MFFU Rapid requires just 2 minimum trading days to clear the evaluation. Take Profit Trader requires 5. Same general idea, same one-step structure — but MFFU gets you funded in less than half the time on its flagship plan. If you trade actively and want to be funded quickly, that's a meaningful head start. Edge: MFFU.
Profit split
MFFU Rapid pays 90/10 from the start. Take Profit Trader starts at 80/20 on its PRO tier and only reaches 90/10 once you climb to PRO+. So on day one of funding, MFFU is putting more of your money in your pocket while TPT makes you earn your way up to the better split. Edge: MFFU — you get the top split immediately instead of working toward it.
Drawdown
Roughly comparable, and worth being honest about. MFFU Rapid uses EOD trailing during the eval and switches to intraday trailing once funded. TPT's PRO tier also uses intraday-style trailing, converting to EOD only at the PRO+ stage. So the funded-side drawdown outcome is similar between MFFU Rapid and TPT PRO — both put you on intraday trailing before you reach their friendlier tiers. If EOD drawdown the whole way is what you want, MFFU's Pro/Flex/Builder plans give you that (another point for the variety). Call it a draw on the flagship-to-flagship comparison.
Cost
MFFU Rapid 50K runs about $118/mo; TPT's 50K is around $170/mo. Both are $0 activation. MFFU is the cheaper monthly for a faster, better-split account. Edge: MFFU.
Where Take Profit Trader holds up
I'm not going to write TPT off — it doesn't deserve that. It's been around since 2021, longer than MFFU, so it has a more established track record. Its single-path structure is genuinely simpler to understand if you find multi-plan menus overwhelming. And its PRO+ tier, once you reach it, lands at the same 90/10 split with EOD drawdown — the destination is good, it just takes longer to get there. For a methodical trader who doesn't mind a longer runway and likes one clear ladder, TPT is a perfectly solid home.
The verdict
Let me be clear up front: both of these are good firms. You won't get ripped off at either one, and I've had a genuinely fine experience with both. This isn't "one's great, one's bad" — it's "which fits you better."
That said, for most traders I lean My Funded Futures, and the reasons are concrete, not vibes. You get funded in 2 days instead of 5, you get a 90/10 split from the start instead of climbing from 80/20, you pay less per month, and you have four plans to match your style instead of one fixed path. That's a better deal on nearly every axis that matters early.
Take Profit Trader is still a strong choice if you value a longer operating history and prefer the simplicity of a single escalating account over choosing between plans. It's a good firm — it just asks for more patience to reach the same destination.
